In class, students broke up into committee groups and worked on drafting joint resolutions for presentation to the House of Representatives or Senate. Finalized resolutions must be emailed to cfeehan@burkemtnacademy.org by 8pm Tuesday night!

In class, students reviewed major Relief, Reform, and Recovery programs created under FDRs New Deal.

HW due Tues: 1-page write-up on solution to a current domestic problem that you would devise if granted "blank check" powers by Congress as the U.S. President.

Week of Monday April 28 - Friday May 2

Students are working on an on-going historical fiction project involving individuals, small groups, and large groups.

On Friday, students must submit the following:
1) Individual, 1-page story
2) 2-page, small group story
3) 5-page large group story with a cover page that includes a title, author, and front-jacket graphic.

We will also discuss Current Events on Friday which will be in your mailboxes by Thursday afternoon.
