In class: students viewed a film connecting industrialization to urbanization via the new immigration wave.

Traveling athletes should additionally read + notes on 572-592 for Mon/Tues 3/11-3/12.

HW due Tues: Revised draft of paper due at beginning of class.

Traveling students must submit a paper via email by midnight tonight!

Thursday, Feb 7

HW due Monday: 2-3 page paper (5 paragraph essay) on capitalists in America. Bring printed, stapled copy to class. Students traveling must submit via email by Tuesday at midnight. cfeehan at burkemtnacademy.org

Tues, Feb 5th

Reading assignments from past week were checked. Students received a handout on a DBQ essay. HW for Thursday: due at the end of the class, students must have a plus and minus column chart on the capitalists as well as an outline for their paper including a thesis statement, 3 main points of argument, and at least 1 document for each point of argument.
We will use Thursday's class period as a working period. Please bring laptops to class.
